Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) – OB/GYNFull-Time Outpatient Position
Physician-owned, independent practice affiliated with Northwestern Medicine and Prentice Women’s Hospital Position Overview A large, well-established OB/GYN practice affiliated with Prentice Women’s Hospital is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) — Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (APRN/FNP/WHNP) — to join our growing outpatient women’s health team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and compassionate provider to work collaboratively with experienced OB/GYN physicians and advanced practice providers in a dynamic ambulatory care setting. The APP will provide comprehensive outpatient gynecologic and women’s health services to patients across the lifespan.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct outpatient patient care in an OB/GYN clinical setting
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, physical examinations, and follow-up visits
- Evaluate and manage routine gynecologic concerns and common women’s health conditions
- Perform preventive care visits, including annual well-woman examinations and screenings
- Counsel patients regarding contraception, pregnancy, menopause, sexual health, and preventive care
- Provide care for pregnant patients, including routine prenatal visits, patient education, monitoring of maternal and fetal well-being, and coordination of obstetric care with supervising physicians
- Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory and diagnostic test results
- Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary clinical staff to coordinate patient care
- Document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient education efforts
- Maintain high standards of patient satisfaction, professionalism, and evidence-based care
Qualifications Required
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Illinois licensure as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
- National board certification (PA-C, FNP-BC, WHNP-BC, or equivalent)
- DEA license and prescriptive authority eligibility
- BLS certification
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred
- Prior experience in OB/GYN, women’s health, primary care, or ambulatory care
- Experience working in a high-volume outpatient practice

- Full-time position
- Monday–Friday outpatient schedule
