Position Summary

Dominion Medical Associates is seeking a compassionate and skilled Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing team. The APC will provide high-quality primary care to a diverse patient population, including those with chronic illnesses and limited access to care. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and collaboratively, committed to health equity, and interested in a dynamic, community-focused practice setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all backgrounds and insurance statuses.
  • Conduct histories, physical exams, diagnostic evaluations, and formulate treatment plans.
  • Manage chronic disease conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and COPD.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs, imaging, and in-house procedures.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians and participate in regular case reviews.
  • Document all patient encounters thoroughly and accurately using EMR.
  • Participate in telemedicine visits and support virtual care initiatives as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and care plans.
  • Maintain compliance with practice standards, policies, and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

  • Current and unrestricted licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Certification by ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA.
  • Current DEA license and prescriptive authority in Virginia.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a primary care or internal medicine setting preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations may be considered.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to culturally competent care.
  • Comfort working with underserved populations, including Medicare/Medicaid and uninsured patients.

Preferred Qualities

  • Experience with underserved communities or Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs}.

Interest in clinical research or population health.

  • Spanish-speaking or multilingual skills a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
