Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting initial psychiatric assessments, rounding, and developing treatment plans. This role requires a compassionate individual who can work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and mental health assessments of patients.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic mental health conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding their health and wellness.
- Collaborate with medical staff in a medical office setting to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Give long-acting subcutaneous or IM injections to support patient sobriety and mental health
Skills
- Proficient in basic life support techniques.
- Familiarity with medical office operations and patient management systems.
- Previous psychiatry or addiction medicine experience is preferred
- Previous background in the diagnosis of psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological treatments and familiarity with non-pharmacological interventions is preferred.
Job Requirements
- NCCPA certification and current Physician Assistant licensure in North Carolina
- Current DEA license
- Must reside or be willing to relocate to Charlotte, North Carolina
