Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting initial psychiatric assessments, rounding, and developing treatment plans. This role requires a compassionate individual who can work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and mental health assessments of patients.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding their health and wellness.
  • Collaborate with medical staff in a medical office setting to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Give long-acting subcutaneous or IM injections to support patient sobriety and mental health

Skills

  • Proficient in basic life support techniques.
  • Familiarity with medical office operations and patient management systems.
  • Previous psychiatry or addiction medicine experience is preferred
  • Previous background in the diagnosis of psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological treatments and familiarity with non-pharmacological interventions is preferred.

Job Requirements

  • NCCPA certification and current Physician Assistant licensure in North Carolina
  • Current DEA license
  • Must reside or be willing to relocate to Charlotte, North Carolina
