We are currently seeking a talented Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a cardiology background to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals in our East Syracuse, NY office.
Our clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8-4:30 with NO evenings, weekends, or holidays.
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Perform comprehensive medical examinations
- Acquire and review patient histories identifying abnormal conditions
- Issue appropriate prescriptions and administer medications
- Inform physicians about any problems or discrepancies that may arise
- Monitor patients’ progress and keep records of treatments, surgeries and other medical events
- Prepare patients for examinations and conduct routine procedures
- Provide therapeutic treatments (disinfecting wounds, stitching etc.)
- Attend to emergencies
- Cardiac Stress Testing
- Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for the patients
- Comply strictly with medical care regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate effectively with team members of various specializations
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Candidates must be board certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant and possess or be eligible to obtain an applicable New York State license
- Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2-years of experience in a cardiology setting
- Knowledge of medical guidelines and procedures regarding examinations, therapy, and recovery
- Must possess excellent communication and leadership skills while demonstrating the ability to work as part of a team
- Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task
- Caring and compassionate
Annual Salary: $95,000- $125,000 with productivity incentive
This position requires travel to our Watertown, NY office up to twice a week. Mileage reimbursement applies.
