VIGILINT is seeking a Physician Assistant to assist with the Deployment Assessment Program (DAP). This is a casual, part-time role with an expected commitment of one to two engagements per month.
- Perform History and Physical examinations in accordance with current Combatant Command (CCMD) Force Health Protection (FHP) standards, theater entry medical requirements, and deployment eligibility guidance for AFRICOM, CENTCOM, INDOPACOM, and SOUTHCOM.
- Maintain compliance with updated GCC Surgeon guidance, deployment medicine protocols, and evolving medical readiness requirements.
- Pre-screen records in EPIC as well as members self-reported history prior to appointment and identify conditions requiring waiver/disqualification, coordinate with pharmacist and administrative team
- Maintain an intimate knowledge of both COCOM medical requirements and what conditions/medications are either disqualifying and/or require waiver
- Maintain an intimate knowledge of COCOM requirements for pre-deployment including immunizations, malaria prophylaxis, and all other public health requirements for travel into COCOM
- Communicate deficiencies with deployers of waiver requirements and/or possibility of waiver and coordinate with supervising Medical Director when necessary
- Manage medical waivers with COCOM POC and Medical Director. Prepare medical waiver documentation after obtaining all required documentation from personnel required for waiver, including but not limited to consultation with appropriate specialty care providers.
- Obtain and document patient vital signs, perform 12-lead EKGs, and administer required immunizations/vaccinations in accordance with clinical protocols, deployment medical requirements, and provider direction
General Duties
- Maintain documents and complete accurate medical records in accordance with VIGILINT policy, within established guidelines
- Complete all timekeeping records to directly correlate with medical records and patient consultations for accurate and appropriate client billing
- Contribute to VIGILINT mission by accomplishing other duties as required
Requirements
- Current US Board Certification
- Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program and certified by the NCCPA.
- Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
- Current active clinical practice
- Obtain North Carolina licensure within 3 months of request (VIGILINT will cover the cost of initial and renewal license, but not administrative elements associated with licensing)
- Must reside within commuting distance to Morrisville, NC
- At least five (5) years of clinical practice experience.
- United States citizen
- Ability to meet DoD Common Access Card requirements
- Will complete onboarding and orientation to include malpractice, orientation to EHR, account setup, and will furnish the corresponding required documents
- Previous military service as a mid-level provider and familiarity with military deployment processes
Desired Qualifications:
- SOF Experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance
Benefits
Base Compensation: $720.00 a day.
