Physician Assistant (Surgical – OR First Assist)

  • Schedule: Standard 9-5, OR days can vary but scheduled in advance.
  • Compensation: Starting range $130,00 and up based on experience

Step Beyond Traditional Clinical Work

Looking to expand beyond standard outpatient care? This role offers hands-on surgical experience, direct OR exposure, and the opportunity to work alongside leading bariatric surgeons across Long Island in clinic and hospitals such as Good Sam & St Charles.

You’ll split your time between patient care and first assisting in surgery, making this a strong fit for someone who wants to build both clinical and procedural expertise. Supported by an experienced clinical team including physicians, anesthesiologists, nursing leadership, and administrative staff.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct patient evaluations, exams, and diagnoses
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe medications and recommend lifestyle changes
  • First assist in the OR, including suturing
  • Educate and counsel patients and families

Requirements (Or pending)

  • Board Certified Physician Assistant
  • Active New York State License
  • ACLS & BLS Certification

Preferred (Not Required):

  • OR or surgical assisting experience
  • Prior clinical training experience
