Our medical practice is seeking a friendly and compassionate Pulmonary Disease Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Pulmonary Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and other pulmonary disorders. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. This position is M-F, no weekends.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical assessments and medical screenings of patients with pulmonary conditions.
- Diagnose and treat common respiratory illnesses, including asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, considering their medical history, current symptoms, and lifestyle factors.
- Prescribe medications and therapies, such as inhalers, antibiotics, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
- Educate patients and their families on the importance of proper disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant Arizona License
- DEA License
- CPR BCLS/BLS certified
- Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (NextGen)
- Must have great organizational and time management skills.
