Position Summary:
Riceland Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our healthcare team. The Physician Assistant will work under the supervision of physicians to provide high-quality patient care, assist in diagnosis and treatment, perform examinations, and support overall clinical operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and obtain medical histories.
- Perform physical examinations and evaluate patient conditions.
- Diagnose illnesses and develop treatment plans under physician supervision.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, X-rays, and diagnostic procedures.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and facility policies.
- Assist physicians during procedures and minor surgeries when required.
- Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and preventive healthcare.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in EMR systems.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and follow up on treatment outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and facility protocols.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current Physician Assistant license/certification in the applicable state.
- NCCPA certification preferred.
- BLS/ACLS certification preferred.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Experience:
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- New graduates may be encouraged to apply depending on facility requirements.
