Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and clinically strong Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing behavioral health team. This position focuses on providing high-quality outpatient psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of mental health conditions.
The ideal candidate is patient-focused, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient environment. You will conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, develop treatment plans, and work closely with therapists, psychiatrists, and support staff to deliver coordinated behavioral healthcare services.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments
- Diagnose and treat mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and other psychiatric disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and patient goals
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications while monitoring effectiveness and side effects
- Provide medication education and support adherence to treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within electronic medical record systems
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, primary care providers, and care coordinators to support continuity of care
- Participate in follow-up visits and ongoing patient care management
- Conduct telehealth and in-person appointments based on clinic needs
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical best practices
- Respond appropriately to psychiatric crises and coordinate higher levels of care when necessary
Qualifications
- Active Missouri Nurse Practitioner license with Psychiatric Mental Health certification, or active Physician Assistant license
- DEA license and prescriptive authority required
- Experience in outpatient psychiatry, behavioral health, or mental health treatment preferred
- New graduates with strong psychiatric clinical rotations are encouraged to apply
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and medication management
- Excellent communication, assessment, and patient engagement skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
- Experience using EMR systems such as eClinicalWorks, Epic, Athenahealth, or similar platforms preferred
- Comfortable treating diverse patient populations including children, adolescents, and adults

Pay: $100,000.00 – $135,000.00 per year
