As a Medical Assistant / Medical Support Specialist, you will be part of an integrated care team specializing in:
- Pulmonary Medicine
- Critical Care
- Internal Medicine
- Sleep Medicine
This role provides hands-on clinical experience, exposure to multiple specialties, and growth in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Position Summary
The Medical Assistant supports daily clinic operations through a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities, including direct patient care, front office duties, and back office support.

Key ResponsibilitiesFront Office & Patient Support
- Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out
- Verify medical history, demographics, and insurance
- Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-ups
- Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries
- Collect payments and support billing processes
- Process prior authorizations, referrals, and medical orders
- Maintain a professional and welcoming clinic environment
Clinical Duties
- Assist providers with exams and procedures
- Take and document vital signs
- Prepare patients for visits
- Set up and clean exam rooms per protocol
- Perform basic clinical procedures and testing
- Follow infection control and safety standards
EHR & Documentation
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Ensure charts are complete and organized
- Assist with medical records and documentation requests
Inventory & Equipment
- Monitor and restock supplies
- Ensure proper storage and availability
- Report equipment issues and coordinate maintenance
Quality & Compliance
- Support quality improvement initiatives
- Assist with audits and compliance activities
- Maintain patient safety and regulatory standards
