Physician Assistant – Orthopedic Surgery
Full-time | Monday–Friday | No Nights, Weekends, or Holidays
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to join our busy orthopedic surgery service. This position offers a dynamic mix of outpatient clinic, operating room, and inpatient floor coverage , providing a well-rounded practice environment with broad exposure to multiple orthopedic subspecialties. Our team is collaborative, supportive, and committed to delivering exceptional musculoskeletal care across the full continuum.

- Hand Surgery
- Orthopedic Trauma
- Spine Surgery
Responsibilities
Clinic:
- Evaluate new and follow-up patients in the outpatient orthopedic clinic
- Order and interpret diagnostic imaging (X-ray, MRI, CT)
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians
- Manage post-operative patients and wound care
Operating Room:
- First assist on surgical cases across all subspecialties
- Assist with joint replacements, arthroscopies, fracture fixation, and spine procedures
- Perform pre-operative assessments and ensure surgical readiness
Inpatient Floor:
- Round daily on admitted orthopedic patients
- Manage post-operative care, pain management, and discharge planning
- Write orders, document progress notes, and coordinate multidisciplinary care
- Communicate with patients, families, and consulting services
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, standard daytime hours
- No weekend coverage required
- No holiday coverage required
- Rotating schedule between clinic, OR, and inpatient floor
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current NCCPA certification (PA-C)
- Active state licensure or eligibility
- Prior orthopedic or surgical experience strongly preferred
- New graduates with orthopedic clinical rotations are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Passion for musculoskeletal medicine and patient-centered care

Pay: $125,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
