Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Pain Management Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to determine pain etiology and severity.
- Develop and implement individualized pain management plans incorporating pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies.
- Administer injections such as Botulinum toxin treatments, nerve blocks, and other interventional procedures following aseptic technique standards.
- Manage acute and chronic pain cases across diverse settings including outpatient clinics, hospital environments, and telehealth platforms.
- Utilize EMR systems like eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, medication administration, and data collection.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, discharge planning, and follow-up.
- Assist in clinical research initiatives related to pain management techniques, medication efficacy, and new treatment modalities.
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems such eClinicalWorks for medical records management.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and medical terminology relevant to pain management.
- Experience with injection administration techniques.
- Familiarity with CPT coding for procedures and ICD coding for diagnoses ensures accurate billing and data collection.
- Ability to perform physical examinations, triage patients effectively in urgent care or emergency room settings.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
