PA Job Description

We, at St. Luke’s Medical Center, are currently looking for a Physician Assistant to join our team in our Tucker office. We currently serve the Hispanic community and are dedicated to bringing healthcare to an underserved area of Georgia.

This is a part time position or full time position

The PA will:

• Diagnose and treat acute and/or chronic conditions in an out-patient setting under the direction of a physician.
• Obtain complete histories and perform pertinent physical exams with assessment of normal and abnormal findings.
• Perform physical examinations and specialized procedures under the direction of a physician.
• Perform or request and interpret medical diagnostics tests as needed.
• Prescribe and/ or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness and injury.
• Provide patient education in their chronic conditions.
• Perform certain medical procedures within the NP/PA scope of practice.
• Use EHR to chart progress notes.

Qualifications:

• Current RN, NP or PA licensure and certification in the State of Georgia
• Certifications must be by a nationally accredited organization.
• Bilingual – Ability to fluently read, write, and speak in Spanish is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
