YOUR DAY AS A FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER
The Full-Time Family Nurse Practitioner position at Recovery Consultants of Atlanta is a dynamic, hybrid role combining clinic-based care and field-based community outreach.
In the clinic setting, you will provide comprehensive patient care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and patient education. You will manage acute and chronic health conditions, interpret diagnostic studies, and ensure safe and effective use of pharmacologic treatments.
In the community setting, you will extend care beyond the clinic walls by conducting outreach visits, engaging underserved populations, and supporting individuals who may face barriers to accessing traditional healthcare services. This includes participating in community events, mobile outreach efforts, and building relationships that strengthen RCA’s presence and impact in the community.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- Managing general medical conditions based on clinical knowledge and best practices
- Ensuring accurate, complete, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Serving as an advocate for patients and families navigating the healthcare system
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care

IS THIS ROLE OF FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER THE RIGHT FIT FOR YOU?

QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nursing Program
- Active RN and APRN (APNP) license in the State of Georgia
- Active board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- Active DEA license or ability to obtain prior to hire
- CPR certification and advanced life support certifications as applicable (ACLS, PALS)
- Experience in community health, behavioral health, or working with underserved populations is strongly preferred
WORK SCHEDULE FOR A FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER
This full-time position is onsite with a combination of clinic hours and scheduled community outreach, typically working Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
