Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role requires the individual to be skilled in the field of Pain Management, with a commitment to adhering to established standards of care.
Duties
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, their families, and other medical staff members.
- Collaborating with supervising physician in executing treatment and interventional pain management plan.
- Conducting physical examinations and diagnostic tests to determine the cause of pain in a patient’s body.
- Educating patients about pain management methods, such as diet and exercise changes, stress reduction techniques, or use of physical therapy devices
- Conducting research to identify new methods of pain management and new treatments for pain conditions.
- Prescribing medication to treat pain conditions according to state regulations.
- Providing postoperative care to surgical patients, including monitoring complications, administering pain medication, and educating patients about their condition and treatment options
- Coordinating with other health care providers to ensure that patients receive appropriate treatment for their pain conditions.
- Conferring with physicians about alternatives to narcotic pain medications for patients who are at risk of addiction or overdose.
- Participate in the monthly call schedule.
- Stay informed about current trends in healthcare practices.

4. Ability to display empathy
5. Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment.
6. Ability to read, understand and follow both oral and written instructions
7. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, co-workers and the public
8. Must be well organized and meticulous.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bilingual a plus, but not madatory
RELATIONSHIP REPORTING
1. Reports to Executive Practice Administrator
2. Supervising Physician
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Ability to sit, stand, walk, or view a computer screen for extended periods of time
2. Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions for extended periods of time.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. Master’s degree in nursing
2. Certified and Licensed in the State of Florida
