Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. Phoenix Pointe Psychiatry is a facility based in Tempe, Arizona, opening a second location in Gilbert, Arizona in August of 2026. We are hiring for a part-time or full-time provider to provide care out of our brand new Gilbert office. Come join our wonderful team and see why patients and employees alike love us!
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status examinations, and diagnostic assessments utilizing clinical knowledge and EMR systems such (eClinicalWorks used).
- Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, therapy options, and behavioral health interventions aligned with best practices.
- Manage medication administration, including injections and Spravato (esketamine), ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care for patients, including collaboration with our fantastic therapy team and existing team of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.
- Provide telehealth consultations utilizing telehealth platforms to extend mental health services remotely while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Support preceptorship needs for students.
Experience
- Proven experience working in behavioral health settings with diverse populations including pediatrics (working with children and toddlers), geriatrics (dementia), or acute care environments.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Skilled in psychiatric patient assessment techniques and diagnosis including assessing self-harm and suicide risk, identifying personality disorders and psychiatric disorders, diagnosing ADHD, evaluating ASD, etc.
- Confidence in psychiatric pharmacology
- Ability to work effectively in outpatient clinics and provide excellent patient care. Uphold Phoenix Pointe Psychiatry’s standards of excellence in kindness, communication, and medical expertise.
Pay: $60.00 – $180.00 per hour
