Job Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Sewing Machine Technician The ideal candidate will be Bernina Certified, but we are open to other brand certification as well.
As a Machine Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing sewing machines to ensure optimal performance. Your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems will be benifical in keeping our processes running smoothly.
Duties:
– Perform routine maintenance on machines to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficient operation
– Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
– Repair or replace faulty components, such as motors, belts, and switches
– Interact with consumers and recommend needed repairs and maintenance of machines.
– Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
– Collaborate with other team members to optimize machine performance
– Fabricate parts when necessary using tools and equipment
– Read and interpret technical schematics and manuals
– Assist with new machine assembly and repairs
Experience:
– Sewing Machine Technician or similar role in a retail setting
– Knowledge of mechanical systems, including motors and gears
– Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques
– Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals
– Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
-Sales experience is a plus
