Job Summary
Kansas City Urology Care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a unique role combining weekend hospital rounding with evening at-home call coverage. This position offers strong work-life structure, specialty training in urology, and collaborative team environment.
Duties
- Round on patients at multiple South Kansas City hospitals
- Evaluate and manage patients in the hospital and emergency department
- Collaborate closely with the on-call urologist
- Respond to after-hours calls from hospitals and emergency departments
- Perform urgent overnight evaluations as needed
- Learn and perform basic urologic procedures (training provided)
Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Strong clinical judgment and multitasking ability
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Urology or acute care experience preferred, but not required
Schedule
- No clinical work from Monday morning through Thursday afternoon/evening
- Evening call coverage begins Thursday evening (from home)
- Hospital rounding: Every Saturday and Sunday
- Call coverage (from home): Thursday-Sunday evenings
- Time off: 4 weekends off per year
- Occasional overnight in-person evaluations fur urgent/emergent cases
Pay: $130,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
