Full Job Description

Orthopaedic Sports Specialists, is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our team of experienced providers. Our group focuses on taking care of an active patient population. We specialize in the treatment of injuries to the shoulder, elbow, knee and hip. Office is open Monday-Friday, weekend available by phone as needed. While orthopedic experience is preferred, new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations
  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons to develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans.
  • Assist during orthopedic procedures and surgeries
  • Provide post-operative care: wound management, recovery monitoring, and follow-up assessments.
  • Perform joint injections, aspirations, and other in-office orthopedic procedures.
  • Educate patients and families about orthopedic conditions, recovery, and treatment options.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (X-rays, MRIs, labs)
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Support administrative tasks as needed (e.g., scheduling, coordination, documentation).

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current PA-C certification (new graduates in the process of certification are welcome to apply)
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Connecticut
  • DEA and Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration (or eligible)
  • NCCPA
  • Orthopedic experience is a plus, but not required

Pay: $120,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year
