Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Physician Assistant/Associate, where you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to newborns, infants, children and adolescents. We are a Patient Centered Primary Care Home and Pediatric based Rural Health Clinic. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, utilizing your clinical expertise to promote health, manage acute and chronic conditions, and support families through various stages of pediatric development. You will be instrumental in providing high-quality outpatient care, ensuring positive health outcomes while fostering a compassionate and engaging atmosphere for young patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Manage acute illnesses and chronic conditions by developing treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and family education.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, including referrals for specialty services such as gastroenterology or behavioral health when necessary.
- Utilize EMR systems to document patient encounters accurately, ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards.
- Experience with medical procedures including suturing, catheterization, tube feeding management, sterile technique, Nexplanon insertion/removal and infant circumcision.
- Engage in telehealth consultations to extend access to pediatric care across diverse settings while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Physician Assistant/Associate with current state licensure.
- DEA license
- BLS/CPR certification
- Conducting well-child visits, physical exams, developmental screenings, and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Demonstrated experience working with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and adolescents.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and patient management.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and pharmacology skills
- Diagnosing and treating common childhood illnesses (e.g., ear infections, flu) and managing chronic conditions like diabetes or asthma.
- Mental Health, screening and managing behavioral health issues
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate families and collaborate with healthcare teams while demonstrating compassion and professionalism. Pay: $67,933.66 – $81,812.57 per year
