Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families. Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of pediatric patients, including infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians, families, and caregivers.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions such as respiratory illnesses, infections, developmental delays, and behavioral health issues.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records.
- Provide health coaching, patient education on disease management, nutrition, immunizations, and preventive care strategies.
- Collaborate with specialists in gastroenterology, infectious disease care, emergency medicine, geriatrics (for family members), and other disciplines to coordinate comprehensive care.
Skills
- Strong proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms for medical documentation.
- Knowledge of pediatric physiology and anatomy to accurately assess vital signs and conduct comprehensive physical examinations.
- Familiarity with CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology) and ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases) for accurate billing and documentation purposes.
- Ability to work effectively within HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
- Competence in handling telehealth consultations to extend pediatric services remotely when needed.
- Strong communication skills for educating families about treatment plans while demonstrating empathy and cultural sensitivity.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special healthcare needs is a plus; knowledge of Workers’ Compensation law is beneficial for injury-related cases. Pay: $70.00 – $90.00 per hour
