Position Summary

KEVIMD Digestive Disease & Wellness Associates, PLLC is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and team-oriented Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing gastroenterology practice in Abilene, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate or an NP/PA with no prior gastroenterology experience who is eager to learn and grow in a supportive private practice environment. Experienced practitioners in Gatroenterology welcome.

Our practice specializes in comprehensive digestive health, liver disease management, preventive care, and wellness services. We are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care with excellence, compassion, and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage patients in outpatient clinic under physician supervision
  • Perform new patient consultations and follow-up visits
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for gastrointestinal conditions
  • Manage common GI conditions including:
  • GERD / reflux
  • IBS
  • Constipation / diarrhea
  • Abdominal pain
  • Fatty liver disease
  • Cirrhosis
  • Crohn’s disease
  • Ulcerative colitis
  • GI bleeding
  • Anemia
  • Dysphagia
  • Nausea / vomiting
  • Gastroparesis
  • Pancreatic disorders
  • Review labs, imaging, pathology, and procedure reports
  • Coordinate referrals and communicate with referring providers
  • Educate patients regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, medications, and procedures
  • Assist with FibroScan evaluations and interpretation
  • Support colon cancer screening and preventive GI care
  • Collaborate closely with supervising physician and clinical staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in ECW EMR
  • Ensure compliance with practice protocols and regulatory standards

Qualifications

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the State of Texas (or eligible for licensure)
  • Board Certification as FNP, AGNP, or ACNP
  • DEA license (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn gastroenterology and procedural medicine
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor

Experience

  • No prior gastroenterology experience required
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Previous internal medicine, family medicine, or GI experience is a plus but not required
