Full Job Description
Desert Valley ENT has an excellent full-time opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a busy ENT practice in Gilbert, Arizona. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our fast-paced practice and to work closely with our surgeon.
Position Specifics:
- In collaboration with the physician, assist in surgery, conduct post-surgical and routine follow up visits
- Rotate call
- Independently see patients in clinic for a myriad of ENT problems
- Perform routine office procedures, i.e. cerumen removal, suture removal, packing/splint removal, dressing changes, nasal cautery, foreign body removal
- Strong medical-surgical assessment skills required
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationship with patients, medical staff, and the public
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Serve as physician extender in the clinic setting
- Document evaluations in a timely manner- EMR- ModMed
- Assist in providing pre-op and post-op care; writes the appropriate orders, including those for narcotics, etc.
Required Education/Training
- Completion and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program or Nurse Practitioner program
- Maintain current Arizona licensure, Federal DEA
- Complete adequate CME as required by licensure
- Maintain current certification in BLS and ACLS
Experience
- 1 – 2 year experience; ENT experience preferred; willing to train
