Full Job Description

Desert Valley ENT has an excellent full-time opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a busy ENT practice in Gilbert, Arizona. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our fast-paced practice and to work closely with our surgeon.

Position Specifics:

  • In collaboration with the physician, assist in surgery, conduct post-surgical and routine follow up visits
  • Rotate call
  • Independently see patients in clinic for a myriad of ENT problems
  • Perform routine office procedures, i.e. cerumen removal, suture removal, packing/splint removal, dressing changes, nasal cautery, foreign body removal
  • Strong medical-surgical assessment skills required
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationship with patients, medical staff, and the public
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Serve as physician extender in the clinic setting
  • Document evaluations in a timely manner- EMR- ModMed
  • Assist in providing pre-op and post-op care; writes the appropriate orders, including those for narcotics, etc.

Required Education/Training

  • Completion and graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Maintain current Arizona licensure, Federal DEA
  • Complete adequate CME as required by licensure
  • Maintain current certification in BLS and ACLS

Experience

  • 1 – 2 year experience; ENT experience preferred; willing to train
  • New graduates are also encouraged to apply for this position
