About the Role
Carolina QuickCare is hiring a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time float position covering our urgent care clinics across the Triad region of North Carolina. You will rotate between Carolina QuickCare clinics in the Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and surrounding Triad communities.

Pay and Schedule
- $70-$75/hour based on experience and credentials
- 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Mileage reimbursement for travel between clinics
- Productivity incentives above base pay

- Rotating weekends with schedules published in advance
- Self-scheduling system with extra shifts available at time-and-a-half
What You Will Do
- Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries in a walk-in urgent care setting
- Perform procedures including laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, wound care, and DOT physicals
- Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and point-of-care lab studies
- Prescribe medications and educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up care
- Complete all documentation same-day in the Experity EMR
- Collaborate with on-site clinical and administrative teams across multiple clinic locations
How the Float Role Works
You will be assigned to Carolina QuickCare clinics within the Sandhills region based on scheduling needs. Your schedule and assigned clinic location are published in advance, and mileage reimbursement covers travel between locations. Average patient volume is 3-4 patients per hour across fully equipped clinics with on-site diagnostics and established clinical protocols.
Qualifications
Required:
- Licensed FNP-C or PA-C in North Carolina (or eligible for NC licensure)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- 2+ years of urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience
- Willing to travel between clinic locations within the Sandhills region
Preferred:
- DOT Medical Examiner certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 weeks of start)
- Experience working autonomously as the sole provider on-site
