Per Diem Surgical Physician Assistant – OR First Assist

Longwood Plastic Surgery is seeking an experienced per diem Physician Assistant to provide operative first assist coverage in a high-volume, multi-surgeon plastic surgery practice.
Position Details:
- Per diem / hourly position
- OR-based role (no clinic responsibilities)
- Schedule is entirely based on practice need and surgical volume
Scheduling Expectations :
- Cases are assigned based on practice demand
- Candidates must have consistent weekday availability
- Reliability and commitment to scheduled cases is essential
Responsibilities:
- First assist in a variety of plastic and reconstructive procedures
- Maintain efficiency and professionalism in a fast-paced OR environment
- Collaborate closely with surgeons and OR staff
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of surgical first assist experience (required)
- Prior plastic surgery experience preferred
- Ability to step into cases with minimal guidance
- Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and dependability
