Full Job Description

Compatior Counseling Center is a community-based out patient SUD treatment center certified by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and approved by Los Angeles County SAPC. We provide Outpatient Drug-Free (ODF), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), and Recovery Bridge Housing (RBH) services as part of a comprehensive continuum of care designed to support long-term recovery.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Outpatient Treatment Center. The Provider will play an integral role in delivering Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and behavioral health services as part of a multidisciplinary care team.

Will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications for individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring behavioral health conditions. This role works under the supervision of the Medical Director and in accordance with the applicable Scope of Practice, supporting integrated treatment across MAT in outpatient Substance Use Disorder services.

This position supports our mission of providing accessible, evidence-based, and patient-centered care to individuals seeking recovery and improved health outcomes.

Duties

  • Conduct medical evaluations for individuals diagnosed with Substance Use Disorders (SUD).
  • Provide Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services, including: Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) and ther substance use disorders as clinically appropriate.
  • Initiate, monitor, and adjust medication regimens based on patient response and clinical presentation.
  • Provide services supporting MAT, OTP coordination, IOP participation, and outpatient SUD treatment.

Telehealth and Patient Access

  • Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of patient engagement and continuity of care across in-person and telehealth services.

Care Coordination and Collaboration

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in discharge planning, utilization review, case consultation, and post-acute care planning to ensure smooth transitions between levels of care.
  • Support continuity of care for patients transitioning between detox, residential, outpatient, and recovery support services.

Compliance and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation consistent with DHCS, DMC-ODS, and SAPC standards.
  • Ensure compliance with:
  • HIPAA
  • 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality regulations
  • DEA prescribing requirements
  • California prescribing laws
  • Participate in quality assurance and program improvement activities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted California license as:
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP), or
  • Physician Assistant (PA)
  • DEA license and authorization to prescribe controlled substances.
  • Experience working with individuals diagnosed with Substance Use Disorders (SUD).
  • Knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) protocols and best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary treatment environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing MAT services in outpatient behavioral health or SUD treatment settings.
  • Familiarity with IOP, OTP coordination, and continuum of care models.
  • Experience working with underserved or high-risk populations.
  • Knowledge of ASAM criteria and integrated care models.

Pay: $100.00 – $125.00 per hour
