Location: 2112 Southwest H K Dodgen Loop Suite 110, Temple, Texas 76504Status: Full-TimeSchedule: Since this is a new clinic, there will be shorter 8-hour shifts on the weekends 8:00 AM -4:00PM and 12-hour shifts from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM Monday -Friday, as the volumes pick up the schedule could potentially change to three 12-hour shifts 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM seven days per week. All clinicians are required to work every other weekend and occasional holidays.Compensation: $65–$80/hour (based on experience) + monthly productivity bonusBenefits: Full-benefits package available (Medical, Dental, 401K, PTO, Sick Pay and CME/License Reimbursement)
Position Summary
We are seeking a Full-Time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Temple, TX. This role is ideal for clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care environment.

You’ll be supported by experienced clinical teams, strong peer relationships, clear practice guidelines, and accessible medical leadership who provide real-time guidance and mentorship. The work is engaging and varied, with a broad patient population and generally low-acuity presentations that keep skills sharp without the pressure of inpatient follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
- Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
- Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management
- Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
- Code and bill services appropriately
- Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
- Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Texas license for NP or PA
- National Board certification
- Active DEA license
- Ability to treat patients of all ages
- Active BLS certification
- EHR proficiency
- Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
- DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees paid by NextCare)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
- Strong procedural skills (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care)
- Experience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
