Shift times for this position are FLEXIBLE. Monday through Friday shifts are available, but all 5 days not required if schedule doesn’t permit. Our hours of operation are 7:00AM-5:30PM, Monday through Friday. Some availability within that timeframe required at least two days a week.

Our part-time assistant teacher positions can help build your resume and help you to gain experience working with children. Our part-time positions are flexible and can accommodate class schedules and other obligations! Our college staff is welcome to visit home during class breaks and resume shifts once they return!
As a part-time assistant teacher, you will work with children in any of our 3 age groups, ranging from 1-5 years. We have a Young Toddler, Older Toddler, and Preschool classroom. Your schedule could consist of shifts between all 3 classrooms, however, most shifts will occur in the Young Toddler or Older Toddler classroom (1-3 year olds). Brief and friendly communication with parents during drop-off and/or pick-up will happen daily. You will assist the full-time classroom teachers with learning activities, changing diapers, helping children in the bathroom, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, and more.
We are closed for the following holidays: New Year’s Day, the Monday following Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Good Friday (the Friday before Easter Sunday) and Black Friday (the Friday following Thanksgiving) are in-service days. Staff are required to attend at least one of the two in-service days, but can choose to attend both if they wish.

Assistant Teacher Requirements:
- MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD (if you are soon to be 18, you are encouraged to apply)
Assistant Teacher Preferences:
- Some experience with children to include volunteer work, babysitting, employment, church programs, school programs, etc.
Requirements that can be completed as part of onboarding:
- 3 required background checks: FBI fingerprint clearances, Child abuse clearance and State police background check
- Recent health assessment and TB test
Assistant Teacher Responsibilities:
- Must have a love for children and be comfortable communicating with parents in our Child Care Center
- Must be willing to interact and engage all children under your supervision
