Ohio State University Physicians (OSUP) is excited to be hiring Medical Assistants for our brand‑new location in Powell, Ohio and this is your chance to be part of it from the very beginning.
Our Powell location is our top placement priority, but through our Centralized Hiring Program, you may also be considered for full‑time Medical Assistant opportunities across many of our Central Ohio practices if Powell is not the final placement.
What This Means for You
Candidates must have open availability Monday–Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., totaling 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
- Room patients, measure and record vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.
- Complete patient interview and history.
- Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments and explain procedures. Assists with procedures as ordered by physician.
- May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests.
- Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.
- Collect samples such as blood, urine and sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
Qualifications:
- A diploma from a Medical Assistant Program OR
- Minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience OR
- Military Medic training OR
- EMT-P (Paramedic) training OR
- Equivalent of 1 year combined relevant medical assisting experience and education
Preferences:
- Medical Assistant Certification

Pay Range: USD $17.84 – USD $28.75 /Hr.
