Description of Work
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as data entry processing assistant in the Sample Receiving Section. Duties include coordinating and sorting all specimens received in the laboratory through various shipping methods; processing those samples in accordance with standardized procedures by assigning case numbers, data entry of submitter/specimen information, distribution of specimens to each individual laboratory section for testing, and attaching electronic case files in the Laboratory Information Management System. Duties also include telephone contact with veterinarians and owners to verify missing or erroneous information.

Recruitment Range: $37,782 – $43,000
- Knowledge of data entry into an information management system and previous client/customer service experience.
- Knowledge of laboratory test procedures to distribute samples to the correct laboratory section.

Minimum Education and Experience
