medical assistant needed for busy pediatric office with experience required
Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to):
- Taking medical histories
- Vital and room patients
- Translate as necessary
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients
- Preparing patients for examination
- Assisting the physician during exams
- Instructing patients about medication and special diets
- Preparing and administer immunizations
- Keep inventory of immunizations refrigerator temperatures
- Experience in Texas Immunizations and ordering them
- Follow prescription refill protocol
- Acquiring medical records from previous physician, hospital visit, labs, specialist, etc
- Ensuring medical records, labs, imaging, referrals are completed as per patients chart before next scheduled appt.
- Clean rooms, beds and restock as needed
- Keep inventory of supplies and inform management when needs replenishment
Must be bilingual
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $9.00 – $12.00 per hour
