Full Job Description
A leading academic-affiliated healthcare system in Suffolk County is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its outpatient infusion center. This high-acuity clinic provides infusion therapies for patients with oncology and hematology conditions, as well as supportive treatments requiring close monitoring. The center operates Monday through Friday during daytime hours, offering stable scheduling with no nights, weekends, or holidays.
This role is ideal for an advanced practice provider with prior infusion or oncology experience who thrives in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The APP will independently evaluate patients presenting with new or worsening symptoms, manage infusion reactions, review and clarify infusion orders, and collaborate closely with physicians, oncology nurses, and pharmacists. Strong clinical judgment, confidence managing chemotherapy toxicities, and excellent communication skills are essential.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly collaborative cancer care environment while maintaining the autonomy of an outpatient practice.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary range: $115,000–$140,000
