Cardiology Physician Assistant (PA)Location: Brooklyn, NYPay Rate: $120–$140/hour (flexible and negotiable based on experience)Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (4 x 10-hour shifts)Employment Type: Full-Time ContractCoverage Dates: August 1, 2026 – January 15, 2027Setting: Hospital (Cardiology)

Position Overview

A hospital in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to support its Cardiology team on a full-time contract basis. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to work closely with cardiologists in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in cardiology or internal medicine and is comfortable managing patients in an inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including history and physical exams
• Assist in the management of cardiology patients in a hospital setting
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs, EKGs, and imaging
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR

Qualifications

• Active New York State Physician Assistant license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiology, internal medicine, or hospital-based care required
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Key Details

• $120–$140/hour, flexible based on experience
• 4 x 10-hour shifts (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
• No weekends required
• Hospital-based cardiology setting
• Contract assignment through January 2027
