Position Overview
We are seeking a professional, reliable, and patient-focused Administrative Medical Assistant to join our in-office Lakeland team. This is a fully in-person (non-remote) position that is essential to our front office operations and plays a key role in creating a positive and seamless patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet, welcome, and check in patients with professionalism and warmth
- Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars efficiently
- Confirm insurance eligibility and benefits verified by the insurance verification department
- Answer, screen, and route incoming calls, emails, and patient inquiries
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in EMR systems
- Scan, upload, and organize medical documentation
- Collect co-pays and payments; reconcile daily transactions
- Assist with referrals and records requests
- Coordinate with providers to ensure timely completion of documentation
- Take basic vitals (weight, height, blood pressure)
- Maintain front desk organization and office supply inventory
- Support compliance documentation and administrative needs as assigned
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree or certification in Medical Administration preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical or behavioral health office preferred
- Knowledge of insurance verification, HIPAA compliance, and front office workflows
- Experience with EMR systems (preferred)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
