About the Role
We are seeking a Medical Assistant II to join a well-established healthcare organization supporting medical disability evaluations for veterans and government agencies.
This is a non-traditional clinical setting focused on examinations and documentation, not ongoing patient treatment or care plans. The environment is structured, process-driven, and ideal for candidates who enjoy consistency and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs
- Perform EKGs
- Assist providers during medical examinations
- Conduct phlebotomy (blood draws) as needed
- Prepare and clean exam rooms
- Accurately document patient information in EMR/EHR systems
- Ensure all documentation meets required standards for medical reporting
Requirements
- Medical Assistant Certification (required)
- 1–3+ years of Medical Assistant experience
- Experience with:
- Vital signs
- EKGs
- Injections
- Blood draws/phlebotomy
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems
- BLS certification (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in occupational health, urgent care, or high-volume clinical settings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
Pay: $22.69 per hour
