In this vital role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff and deliver high-quality patient care in environments ranging from long-term care facilities and assisted living communities to hospitals and outpatient clinics. Duties
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems
- Support clinical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, medication administration, and aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in acute care, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), emergency medicine, hospice care, and behavioral health settings to deliver seamless patient service
- Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers for patients with mobility challenges or those requiring sub-acute or post-acute care
- Document patient information accurately in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
- Engage with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities, providing compassionate support tailored to their unique needs in home & community care environments
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) recognized by state licensing boards
- Experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support procedures
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation
- Prior experience with dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting using Hoyer lifts and assisting with patient transfers
- Strong communication skills coupled with a genuine passion for caregiving and patient service

Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour
