OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a private office/clinic setting. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent administrative support skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Certified Medical Assistant will assist healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of the medical facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Obtain and record patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information.
• Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and answering questions.
• Administer medications and injections as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage medical documentation.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
• Support administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and pre-authorizations.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of outpatient care processes.
• Prior experience in primary care or specialty clinic is preferred.
• Familiarity with neurology is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is advantageous.
