Full Job Description
Medical Professionals is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role supports physicians and ensures patients receive efficient, compassionate care while helping maintain smooth office operations.
In this position, you will:
- Assist physicians with patient care tasks to ensure high-quality service.
- Greet patients, manage check-in/check-out, and respond to patient inquiries.
- Escort patients to exam rooms, record vital signs, and prepare them for physician visits.
- Conduct lab procedures including blood draws, EKGs, pregnancy tests, and COVID-19 testing.
- Handle patient referrals, insurance authorizations, and medication refill requests.
- Communicate test results to patients and provide follow-up guidance.
- Manage incoming calls and schedule patient appointments.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment and exam rooms.
What we need from you:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant Diploma
- Valid Driver’s License
- 1+ years of back office medical experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to float between Cary, West Cary, and occasionally Fuquay (schedule provided in advance)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in adult disease management or primary care settings
Schedule and Pay
- Schedule: Full-time, office hours (specific schedule provided)
- Location: Cary, West Cary, with occasional travel to Fuquay
- Hire Type: Temp-to-Hire
- Compensation: $20.00 – $22/hr.
