Full Job Description

This is a full-time outpatient Physician Assistant role providing primary care to a diverse, underserved community. You’ll work in a collaborative, team-based environment with strong clinical support, a predictable weekday schedule, and the opportunity to build long-term patient relationships — all while making a real impact on community health. Location: Bronx, NY (Onsite) Employment Type: Full Time – Mon-Fri 08:30am-04:30pm Compensation: Pay Range: $140,000-$145,000 Per Year Benefits:

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide primary care to adult and family patients
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
  • Manage chronic disease (diabetes, HTN, asthma, etc.)
  • Perform physical exams, H&Ps, and follow-ups
  • Prescribe medications per scope of practice
  • Order and review labs and diagnostics
  • Document visits in the EMR
  • Work closely with physicians, NPs, nurses, and care teams

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited PA program
  • Active PA license in the state
  • NCCPA certification
  • DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
  • BLS/ACLS (BLS minimum)
  • Eligible for credentialing with Medicaid, Medicare, and managed care plans

Preferred / Strongly Desired: These aren’t always required, but they matter a lot in FQHC hiring:

  • Primary care experience (family medicine, internal medicine, community health)
  • Experience with underserved or safety-net populations
  • Comfort with high patient volume
  • Experience with chronic disease management
  • Spanish or other second language (huge plus)
  • Experience in team-based or integrated care models
  • Familiarity with value-based care and quality metrics
