Full Job Description

We are looking for Nurse Practitioner /PA for our Nephrology and Hypertension practice

We have one opening as we are trying to build further on our successful APP program.

The APP will collaborate with 4 physicians and 4 other APPs in the practice to provide exceptional care to our patients.

Experience in nephrology is preferred , but not necessary for this job.

Experience in either icu setting , cardiology , endocrinology or internal medicine is desirable and preferred .

We have ideally need an experienced APP who wants to do both outpatient and inpatient, but predominant need is for inpatient work.

Inpatient – typically ( 12-16 patients ) but can vary ,can be as low as 6-8 and as high as 18-20

consultant work only, no primary care

Travel – some travel between sites is necessary , depending on the the rotation .

Weekend 1:4 for inpatient work( and get 2 days off to make a 5 days work week even after a weekend )

5 day work week

8.30 am – 5.30 pm typical working day,but can leave by 4.30 most days once work done

Compensation – is negotiable, with experience and will be very competitive and having experience is a major plus

new incentive program to supplement income , after 1 year, if no prior nephrology experience , but can be earlier for the right candidate either with experience, or new graduate who adapts fast to working environment

no pager call, no overnite

Paid CME- 3 days , 1000 $

vacation- 3 weeks and negotiable for right candidates

We are ideally looking for dedicated individuals, who are looking to learn and grow in the role and have a desire to learn and make nephrology and htn and dialysis a long term career .

We are designing, work flows to provide high quality patient services and use state of art technology to remotely manage patients and help provide high quality value based care and prevent hospital admissions.

Responsibilities

  • Examine patients and their medical records
  • Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
  • Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
  • Propose treatments for chronic and acute renal diseases
  • Prescribe medications
  • Maintain accurate records and schedules
  • Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
  • Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention
  • Oversee patients’ overall health
  • Promote good health practices
  • Advance professional knowledge

Skills

  • Proven experience as Nurse Practitioner/PA , in a clinic, hospital, ER or other setting
  • Expertise in primary care, acute care and chronic care practices
  • Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong ethics
  • Team spirit with a positive attitude
  • Patience and cool-headedness
  • Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience
  • Valid nurse practitioner/PA license
  • Master’s degree; PhD is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
