Job Title
Per Diem / Part-Time Family Medicine Physician (Concierge Medical Practice Coverage)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Family Medicine Physician Assistant to provide per diem or part-time clinical coverage for a private concierge medical practice during periods when the primary physician is attending Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities or on vacation. This role is ideal for a physician assistant who values relationship-based care, flexible scheduling, and a low-volume, high-touch clinical environment.
Practice Description
Our practice is a concierge medical office focused on personalized, patient-centered primary care for a select patient panel. We emphasize longer appointment times, direct provider access, preventative care, and continuity of care without the pressures of high-volume scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient family medicine care for established concierge patients
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Manage preventative care, wellness visits, and follow-up appointments
- Respond to patient concerns in a timely, professional, and compassionate manner
- Document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with office staff to ensure seamless continuity of care
- Uphold the practice’s concierge care philosophy and high standards of patient service
- Provide coverage during scheduled CME attendance or vacation periods of the primary physician
Schedule
- Per diem or part-time, as needed
- Coverage periods typically planned in advance
- Office-based, weekday/weekend coverage (no hospital call or inpatient responsibilities)
Qualifications
- PA with Board Certification in Family Medicine
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of practice
- DEA license (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 2–3 years of outpatient primary care experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfort working independently in a private practice setting
- Interest in or experience with concierge, direct primary care, or lifestyle medical practices preferred
Compensation
- Competitive per diem or hourly compensation, commensurate with experience
- Malpractice coverage provided for assigned coverage periods
