Full Job Description
We are a busy, physician-led vascular surgery practice in Ventura County seeking a mid- to senior-level Physician Assistant to join our team. This role is primarily clinic-based, with additional involvement in hospital consults and operating room assistance as needed.
This position is intended for a PA who values efficiency, clinical judgment, and long-term stability within a collaborative surgical practice.
Role Overview
The Physician Assistant will serve as a key clinical partner in the outpatient setting, supporting a high-volume vascular surgery practice. Hospital consults and surgical assistance will be part of the role, but clinic responsibilities will constitute the majority of the position.
Responsibilities
- Outpatient vascular surgery clinic (arterial, venous, dialysis access)
- Patient evaluation, follow-up, and care coordination
- Hospital consults and inpatient management as needed
- Pre- and post-operative patient care
- Surgical first assist in the operating room, based on experience and practice needs
- Vein disease management and follow-up
- Documentation and patient education
- Optional participation in cosmetic or aesthetic services (not a core responsibility)
Qualifications
- Active California Physician Assistant license
- Five or more years of clinical experience preferred
- Experience in vascular surgery, surgical subspecialty, interventional, or hospital-based care strongly preferred
- Strong clinic efficiency and clinical judgment
- Comfortable supporting hospital consults and assisting in the OR when needed
- Team-oriented and comfortable in a physician-led practice model
- Interest in a long-term role
Compensation and Benefits
- Guaranteed base salary of $170,000 – $190,000, commensurate with experience
