Title: Physician Assistant – Disability & Occupational Health Exams
Location: Monterey Medical – 5335 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH 45429
Salary: $120,000 per year
Job Types: Full-time, Monday through Friday
About the Role
Monterey Medical is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Dayton, OH. In this rewarding role, you will provide high-quality care by conducting medical disability evaluations for Veterans and Separating Military Members, along and pre-employment assessments.
Responsibilities

Perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams for Veterans.

Conduct pre-discharge physical exams for active-duty service members.
-
Provide occupational physicals including pre-employment exams, fit-for-duty exams, and health assessments.

Complete thorough documentation and maintain accurate patient records.
-
Educate patients as appropriate.
-
No ongoing treatment or follow-up required.
Qualifications
-
Unrestricted State license to practice.
-
Certified Medical Examiner (CME) (required for DOT physicals) – training and certification provided if needed.

Experience with Compensation & Pension exams preferred but not required.

Competence in performing:
-
Musculoskeletal assessments with range of motion.
-
Pulmonary function test (PFT) interpretation.
-
ECG interpretation.
-
Pelvic, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary examinations.
-
Strong knowledge of aseptic technique in clinical settings.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
