Comp: $120,000 – $126,000 / Annually
Position Summary:
The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner will provide medical services under physician supervision, including patient histories, physical exams, diagnostic tests, and treatment plan implementation. Responsibilities encompass professional development, training, patient assessment, counseling, coordination of care, compliance with regulations, and contributing to a diverse working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient histories, physical exams, and diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in line with clinical protocols.
- Monitor therapeutic interventions and patient progress.
- Offer counseling and education on medical aspects of treatment.
- Coordinate care with healthcare providers and make referrals as needed.
- Ensure compliance with medical quality standards and regulations.
- Attend treatment team meetings and training seminars.
- Maintain current knowledge of drug abuse trends and treatment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers as necessary.
- Assist nursing team and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in the state of employment.
- Current DEA license and documentation of renewal.
- Experience or understanding of chemical addiction preferred.
- High integrity, sound judgment, and efficient work ethic.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure.
- Proficiency in basic computing and data entry.
- Knowledge of medical equipment and procedures.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Adequate speaking, hearing, and vision abilities.
- Prolonged standing, bending, and keyboarding.
- Variable workload with periodic high stress.
- Standard medical office conditions and patient interactions.
- Use of protective equipment may be required.
