Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations and medical history reviews using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
- Administering some injections ( not overly procedural position) , with aseptic technique to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Coordinate care including: diagnostic evaluations such as radiology imaging, spinal injections, and laboratory tests; interpret results for accurate diagnosis.
- Develop treatment plans for diverse conditions including infectious diseases, pain management, opioid use counseling, and occupational health cases.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, post-acute care strategies, and patient education to optimize health outcomes.
Experience
- Proven experience administering performing physical examinations in outpatient settings.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms for documentation and data management.
- Prior involvement in urgent care environments with exposure to trauma protocols and triage procedures.
- Experience working within hospital medicine or medical-surgical units; knowledge of CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology) and ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases).
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation methods necessary for comprehensive patient assessment. - Spanish speakers are highly desirable
- There will be extensive on job training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
