OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant – Emergency Medicine for our client in Michigan!
Responsibilities
- Provide independent patient care in the fast-track VUE area within a Level 3 emergency department.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of low- to moderate-acuity emergency cases.
- Collaborate with attending physicians for consultation, guidance, and case review as needed.
- Accurately document all patient encounters and clinical decisions.
- Initiate admission processes by requesting beds and coordinating with house officers.
- Follow established referral and transfer protocols based on diagnosis.
Qualifications
- Licensed Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA).
- Prior emergency department or urgent care experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Current certifications required for emergency care practice.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
Schedule
- Coverage dates range from January 28 through February 27, 2026.
- Shifts include 11:00 AM–11:00 PM and 8:00 AM–8:00 PM.
- One APP shift scheduled daily.
- Must be available for assigned dates and full shift coverage.
Skills
- Efficient patient assessment and triage abilities.
- Strong procedural and clinical management skills for fast-track cases.
- Excellent communication and teamwork with physicians, nurses, and residents.
- Ability to manage high patient volume effectively.
- Familiarity with emergency department workflows and protocols.
All travel expenses are reimbursed by our client and Orchard covers malpractice insurance with tail coverage!
