Physician Assistant (PA) – Trauma Surgery
Location: Loveland, CO
Pay: $136,822 – $179,379 annually
Shift: Nights 12-hour overnight shifts, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join the Trauma Surgery team of a respected healthcare organization. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals looking to work in a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient-centered care.
Note: This is a direct placement opportunity. Travelers will not be considered for this role. The selected candidate will be hired directly by our client. Benefits and other employment terms may vary.
Key Responsibilities/Job Requirements:
- Provide full-spectrum trauma and acute care surgical services during overnight shifts
- Manage trauma admissions, emergency general surgery, and inpatient care
- Perform evaluations, develop care plans, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Assist trauma surgeons with procedures, resuscitation, and operative support
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary clinical team
- Maintain all documentation and clinical workflows in Epic EMR
- Practice autonomously and handle multiple complex tasks appropriately
- Support quality, safety, and performance metrics of the Trauma Surgery service
- Engage in professional development and potential leadership opportunities
- Maintain NCCPA certification
- Maintain unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant
- Maintain eligibility for DEA and Medicare/Medicaid provider status
- Hold current BLS certification
Qualifications:
- Active Physician Assistant (PA) license in good standing (state-specific)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant Trauma Surgery experience preferred
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
