Full Job Description
NextCare Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Eden, NC clinic in a full-time role.
About NextCare
NextCare is one of the largest urgent care organizations in the country, operating over 165 clinics across 11 states. Our model is primarily urgent care with a small occupational medicine component and is designed to support provider autonomy, efficiency, and high-quality patient care.
Position Details

Full-time schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week

Clinic hours typically 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, including rotating weekends

Assigned home clinic with opportunity to support nearby locations as needed
Responsibilities
-
Evaluate and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting

Diagnose and manage acute illnesses and injuries
-
Perform common urgent care procedures including suturing, wound care, splinting, and I&Ds
-
Interpret X-rays, EKGs, and labs
-
Provide clear treatment plans and follow-up instructions
-
Document care accurately in the electronic medical record

Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining clinical efficiency
Qualifications

Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina (or eligible)

Minimum 1–2 years of urgent care or emergency medicine experience required

No new graduates at this time

Comfortable practicing independently in a fast-paced environment

DEA license (or ability to obtain)

DOT certification preferred (or willingness to obtain; training provided)

BLS required
