Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across diverse medical settings, including hospital, outpatient, and urgent care environments. Your expertise will support physicians in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of medical conditions while ensuring exceptional patient outcomes. Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical histories using advanced EMR systems such as Epic and eClinicalWorks.
  • Assist in diagnostic evaluation by ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, imaging studies (medical imaging), and diagnostic procedures like spinal taps or catheterizations.
  • Administer injections, medications, IV infusions, and perform procedures such as suturing, dermal fillers, or dermabrasion under aseptic technique.
  • Manage acute pain and airway issues in various settings including ICU, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), neonatal ventilator management, and Level I & II trauma centers.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams on discharge planning, post-acute care coordination, hospice & palliative medicine services, and telehealth consultations to optimize patient recovery.
  • Participate in clinical research trials focusing on infectious disease care, pain management strategies, or public health initiatives to advance medical knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate medical records adhering to HIPAA regulations while managing data collection for quality improvement and research purposes.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Physician Assistant from an accredited program with current state licensure.
  • Demonstrated experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, critical care (ICU experience), or urgent care settings.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and CPT coding for billing purposes.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
  • Experience administering injections and performing physical examinations with aseptic technique.
  • Critical care experience including ventilator management and airway management skills; Level I & II trauma center experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments like emergency rooms or outpatient clinics while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate communication; ability to triage effectively across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and experience with health coaching or addiction counseling is a plus. Join us in delivering exceptional healthcare through innovation, teamwork, and dedication!
