Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital sign measurements, and medical history reviews.
- Assist in diagnostic evaluation by ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Administer injections, medications, and treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy, IV infusions, and airway management techniques.
- Perform clinical procedures including suturing, phlebotomy, catheterization, and aseptic techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage acute pain cases, triage patients effectively in emergency or urgent care settings, and provide critical care support when needed.
- Document patient encounters accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in clinical research trials or quality improvement initiatives to advance evidence-based practice and enhance patient care standards.
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for efficient data management and medical records documentation.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Experience administering injections and performing physical examinations with aseptic technique.
- Skilled in airway management, ventilator support, dialysis procedures, and neonatal ventilator use for specialized patient populations.
- Critical care experience within hospital settings such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or intensive care units (ICU).
- Ability to perform triage effectively in emergency room or urgent care environments; familiarity with hospital medicine practices.
- Knowledge of infectious disease care protocols, infection control measures, and post-acute or sub-acute care procedures.
- Experience with telehealth platforms to extend patient access remotely; familiarity with medical imaging interpretation is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for procedures; adept at data collection for research or quality improvement projects.
- Excellent patient care skills including health coaching, discharge planning, pain management strategies, and family planning counseling.
